"The hunt is permitted about two weeks after the seal pups are born and their fur changes from white to gray. Most are killed between 12 to 25 days old".
At least they are allowed to live a couple of weeks. We, as a society could never condone behavior so cruel as to kill these animals while their fur was still white. That would be uncivilized.
