THAT'S TOO BAD HARRIET

I don't know how bad a judge Harriet Miers would turn out to be but as a Democrat I think we could get a lot worse. And, if her nomination get's withdrawn we're going to get a lot worse if Janice Rogers Brown or Priscilla Owens are nominated in her place. If George Will goes so far as to say "any Republican senator who supinely acquiesces in President Bush's reckless abuse of presidential discretion -- or who does not recognize the Miers nomination as such -- can never be considered presidential material", Harriet might not be so bad for the country after all.
