Buying ''chasity" (and a payback) with your money

I always thought only liberal Democrats wasted hard-earned tax money on social programs? Let's see, 63 'grantees' receive $37 million which works out to about $587,000 each to print up some brochures that teach teenagers not screw their their mates until they're married. Sounds like a social program to me, or more precisely, it's a way Bush can 'give his love' to his anti-choice supporters with our tax dollars. Over the last 5 years Bush has kicked-back to these righteous rightwing groups $600 million....Did you get that kiss yet? Mo’ Money for Monogamy
Pro-life organizations are receiving millions of federal dollars in the name of "abstinence education." Over the past five years, the Bush administration has put more than $600 million federal dollars into the coffers of abstinence-until-marriage programs. Critics contend that such funding is a back-door way to provide infrastructure funding to the religious right since many of these no-sex sex education programs are housed within Christian, evangelical, pro-life organizations. In mid-October, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Children and Families issued the latest batch of federal disbursements, totaling $37 million to 63 grantees.
"A March 2005 study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health reported that STD rates among virginity “pledgers” and non-pledgers were about the same". I wonder how many 'virgins' made it to their honeymoon for that $600 million? It would be interesting to break that cost down.
