Senior Al Qaeda commander killed in Pakistan A senior al Qaeda commander died in an explosion at a house in a tribal area of northern Pakistan, officials said Saturday. Abu Hamza Rabia, who was in charge of international operations for al Qaeda, apparently was working with explosives when the blast went off, killing him and others, said Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Pakistan's information minister.
