Trial of Libby for spy leak set for 2007
"A federal judge on Friday set former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby’s trial date for January 2007, two months after the midterm congressional elections.
Libby, who faces perjury and obstruction of justice charges, will go on trial Jan. 8, said U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton. Walton said he had hoped to start the trial in September but one of Libby’s lawyers had a scheduling conflict that made an earlier date impossible".
Huh, what a coincidence that Libby's trial will now be held 2 months after the mid-term elections.
His attorney has a "scheduling conflict". Any judge that had a pair of gonads would tell Libby and his lawyers, tough shit, but then again, good ol'
Reggie is a Bush appointee and a Republican, after all. He's also part of the obstruction of justice team for the criminal conspirators in the administration, too.
