Ashcroft is Back-The Republican Way

Former Attorney General Ashcroft, becomes a Lobbyist Five years ago, after his nomination was narrowly sent to the floor of the Senate by a 10-to-8 vote of the Senate Judiciary Committee and then confirmed by a 58-42 vote, Ashcroft began a controversial run as attorney-general. Instead, the former attorney-general has founded a lobbying firm which, in a very short time, has managed to rake in a fair amount of money representing an assortment of corporate clients, several of whom stand to reap great profits from the president's war on terrorism. Just one more corrupt Republican.
John Ashcroft has the dubious distinction of probably being the only man in the Bush cabinet that was actually dumber than George Bush himself. If you remember, Ashcroft got the job as Attorney General only after the voters of Missouri rejected his stupid ass and voted for a dead man, Mel Carnahan, instead. A very dumb, phoney-conservative from Missouri who will now become a multi-millionaire bribing his old Republican buddies in Congress and Americans will just stand by wimpishly and watch it happen. What a country!
