Just in case there was any question...

..... on whether Bush's last minute appearance Monday hurt Jerry Kilgore's chances of being elected governor of Virginia here is what was written on how the race had been going as recently as Monday;
"Despite his own political woes and declining popularity, Bush hoped to rally Republicans to vote on Tuesday in a contest that polls show is too close to call" "Kilgore, whose early lead in polls has slipped to a statistical tie" "Kaine, the state's lieutenant governor, was the choice of 45 percent of voters, and Kilgore, a former attorney general, had 44 percent in the survey" "Kilgore, the former state attorney general, was favored by 44 percent of likely voters, while 42 percent chose Kaine"
Bush went to Virginia the day before the election to pull Kilgore through his 'statistical tie' with Timothy Kaine. Kaine won by 6 percentage points. Thanks George-I really think you need to start doing some more stumping for Republicans.
