Democracy? Oh no, we said 'Theocracy'

Hakim, the leader of the Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq and extremely pro-Iranian As I've said for over three years now, Iraq will be a worse situation for the U.S. now that the Shiites have control than when Saddam Hussein was in power. I will continue to remind those of you who 'I told you so', whether it's today, one year from now, or five years from now on just how wrong you were, and how right I was.
Powerful Shiite Leader Backs Away From Constitutional Compromise Iraq's most influential Shiite politician said Wednesday that he would not allow a new government to "change the essence" of the country's constitution, despite a promise made to Sunni Arabs that opened it to major revision. Apparently emboldened by winning the referendum and the election, Abdul Aziz Hakim, the leader of the Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq -- the most powerful group in the ruling coalition of Shiite parties -- backed away from the constitutional compromise Wednesday. "The first principle is not to change the essence of the constitution," Hakim said in a speech on the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, according to the Associated Press. "It is our responsibility to form Baghdad provinces and southern Iraq provinces." Compromise was critical to stopping "the violence that has affected both the Sunni and Shia people."
There will be no compromise. The Shiites will demand a theocracy just like the Shiites have in Iran and they will become allies with a common goal of destroying the U.S. Don't believe me? Read the following and check the source;
"Hakim is the clerical leader of the Iran-backed Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, the largest political party in the election. Since he heads the consolidated Shiite ticket, he is guaranteed election and this close ally of Iran will most certainly hold a very high post in the new government. Needless to say, neither of these gentlemen is friendly to the United States and there are few allies on the rest of the ticket either".
I told you so...
