Rice: No Point in More Iran Negotiations

Natanz nuclear facility in Iran
'France, with the support of the United States, rejected Iran's request for more negotiations on the Islamic republic's nuclear program, with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice saying Wednesday "there's not much to talk about" after Iran resumed atomic activities. Iran must return to a complete suspension of these activities." In Washington, Rice and EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana also rejected any return to talks. "There's not much to talk about," Rice said during a photo session at the State Department with Solana'.
There is not much of a point in negotiating with Iran. As I wrote last month, we need to do a strategic strike against all of their uranium enrichment facilities if these most recent talks don't accomplish what we want. Bush should give them 30 days. A strike is a strike and not an invasion using any ground forces into Iran. Air Force B2 Bombers and Tomahawk missiles from Navy submarines. Put our troops in Iraq on alert near the Iranian border and if the Iranians get out of line, let the Air Force pound them some more. If 'diplomacy' works, great. But we've already wasted a lot of time-at least two years-talking with Iran and they've done what they've wanted to do right from the start. Their current president, Ahmadinejad, is a total kook and who if is the final say on whether Iran starts enriching weapons grade uranium or not, then negotiating any longer is just wasting time.
