Andy Card

Look George, I know you're enjoying the book...but, that's the second plane....we have to go... (Andy Card's most infamous picture with Dubya) Andrew Card, the man who gave the country the "White House Iraq Group" or more fondly known as, 'WHIG'. The group was set up to 'market' the invasion of Iraq to a populace consisting, unfortunately, of far too many people willing to be 'sold'. They bought it... they swallowed hook, line and sinker. And, one of the main purveyors of that sales job was Andy Card. Mr. Card resigned as Bush's chief of staff yesterday. "The New York Times in September 2002 quoted Card as saying, "From a marketing point of view you don't introduce new products in August." Card was explaining what the Times characterized as a "meticulously planned strategy to persuade the public, the Congress, and the allies of the need to confront the threat from Saddam Hussein." About time you gave him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, George... Either that, or maybe Andy could write a book.
