Noonan should be able to answer her own question
Hey, Big Spender
Should we have known that President Bush would bust the budget?
That headline and that sentence above was Peggy Noonan's from a piece she wrote a couple of days ago in the Wall Street Journal. She should know the answer to her own question since the only person to increase spending like Dubya or come close to what he's added to the nation's debt, was the man she worked for, Ronald Reagan.
When a person like Noonan writes, or when a person who reads this blog, continues to make comments like Bush has betrayed the Republican Party and the 'Reagan legacy' (LOL) by his out of control federal spending, they're simply liars, because they know better.
The phoney conservatives in this country cannot re-write the historical record on the Reagan years. Reagan's record deficits are well documented and it not only drives them crazy but shuts them up and leaves them with no argument. Unless of course, they want to continue to lie about it.
