"The Senate voted Thursday to allow the national debt to swell to nearly $9 trillion, preventing a first-ever default on U.S. Treasury notes. The bill passed by a 52-48 vote. The increase to $9 trillion represents about $30,000 for every man, woman and child in the United States. The bill now goes to President Bush for his signature. The measure allows the government to pay for the war in Iraq and finance Medicare and other big federal programs without raising taxes. It passed hours before the House was expected to approve another $91 billion to fund the war in Iraq and provide more aid to hurricane victims. The partisan vote also came as the Senate continued debate on a $2.8 trillion budget blueprint for the upcoming fiscal year that would produce a $359 billion deficit for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1. The debt limit increase is the fourth such move increasing the debt limit by a total of $3 trillion since President Bush took office five years ago. The present limit on the debt is $8.2 trillion. With the budget deficit expected to approach $400 billion for both this year and next, another increase in the debt limit will almost certainly be required next year".Keep in mind, the nation's debt was going DOWN when Clinton was in office and this is the FOURTH TIME Bush has had to raise the debt ceiling-$3 TRILLION IN 5 YEARS! That literally costs each man, woman and child in this country well over $100,000 each. And you fools just keep voting for these Republicans. You had better hang onto your pettily $500 tax cut. You're going to need about 600 times that (your $300,000 share) to pay for your last two votes, Suckers!

Hey Suckers, Send Dubya Your $30,000!
Get out your checkbook. If you're single, you just lost $30,000. If you're married and have two children, Bush and the Republicans just cost you $120,000.
When these types of Republican disasters happen (and it's almost a daily occurrence) I can't help but think of a guy I communicate with occasionally. This guy blogs sometimes on what's undoubtedly the most piteous blog on the net and he said to me a few months ago 'I pay less taxes now then I did before' and I was totally stunned at how stupid it turns out this guy actually is. He had definitely fooled me for quite some time up until that point.
He and his wife have a child and I hope he now enjoys his extra $500 a year tax refund when his hero Bush just cost him and his family $90,000. That's known as "Penny-Wise and Pound Foolish" and it's very fitting for the fools that are so ecstatic about their petty tax cut when they're too stupid to realize what these Republicans are costing them in the long run. That's what happens when you have a populace bound by ignorance.
Get out checkbooks, fools!
